JESUS LIVES!

Where Do We Go From Here

Join Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, for an ecumenical service to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination.

Wednesday, April 4 at 7 p.m.
Chapel at St. Rita of Cascia High School
7740 South Western Ave., Chicago

Cardinal Cupich will preside at this Christian service, which will include praise dancers, music and song from the St. Ailbe Parish choir, prayer, readings from Dr. King and more. Participants will include archdiocesan priests and employees, parishioners from across the archdiocese, as well as civic, faith and community leaders. Our interfaith partners will be welcomed as honored guests.

The service is a part of the Archdiocesan peace-building and violence-prevention efforts. In April 2017, the Archdiocese of Chicago launched an initiative to increase the capacity and reach of current programs that address the root causes of violence and to identify and actively seek collaboration with like-purposed organizations. The archdiocese is seeking out and investing in new approaches and collaborations to break the cycles of family instability, despair, racism and poverty and create conditions for peace.
