In celebration of Black History Month, Friends of Historic Second Church will co-host author, speaker and educator Michelle Duster in a lecture at Second Presbyterian Church. Duster is the great-granddaughter of Ida B. Wells and has written and edited numerous works including her most recent book that she co-edited: Michelle Obama’s Impact on African American Women and Girls.

This is a free lecture and is co-sponsored by the Glessner House Museum and Second Presbyterian Church. Free parking is available at the Ada S. McKinley lot (1819 S. Wabash Ave.) and free tours of the National Historic Landmark sanctuary will be provided before and after the lecture.
