WHO IS OUR NEIGHBOR?
World Exodus World Service is a Chicago-based organization that works to mobilize the Christian community to welcome and befriend refugees. They do this by educating churches and individuals on the plight of the refugee, connecting volunteers with refugees through practical service projects, and empowering people to be champions for refugees.
The Old St. Mary’s Social Justice and Service Committee invites you to join us on Sunday, June 25th following the 11 am Mass in room 201 of the Parish Center. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided as we welcome a guest speaker from Exodus World Service who’ll make a short presentation, and then answer questions regarding their work and how we–individually and as a faith community–can engage in the mission to welcome, support, and advocate for refugees.
