Holy Days of Obligation and Other Feast Days

  • Wednesday, January, 2020 – Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God
    Mass at 10 AM
  • Wednesday, February 26, 2020 – Ash Wednesday
    (NOT a holy day of obligation, but the beginning of the Season of Lent)
    Ashes will be distributed at the  8:30 AM,  and 7 PM Masses.  You will need to register to attend.

Because of Covid-19 protocols ashes will not be distributed in the usual manner. To avoid physical contact, ashes will be sprinkled on the top of your head.

Ashes will also be distributed in the Commons from 12 Noon to 1 PM.  You will simply walk in, be sprinkled and depart. 

  • Thursday, April 9, 2020 – Holy Thursday (no services due to the coronavirus)
    Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:30 PM
    Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from the conclusion of Mass until 11 PM
  • Friday, April 10, 2020 – Good Friday – (no services due to the coronavirus)
    Stations of the Cross – 12 Noon
    followed by confessions until 2:30 PM
    Celebration of the Lord’s Passion – 3 PM and 7:30 PM
  • Saturday, April 11, 2020 – Holy Saturday (no services due to the coronavirus)
    The Great Vigil Liturgy of Easter – 8 PM
  • Sunday, April 12, 2020 – Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord
    Easter Sunday – 8 AM and 11 AM  (live streamed)
    (NO evening Mass on Easter Sunday)
  • Saturday, August 15, 2020 – Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
    (NOT a holy day of obligation in 2020)
  • Sunday, November 1, 2020 – Solemnity of All Saints
    Mass – Saturday at 5 PM; Sunday at 8 AM and 11 AM 
  • Thursday, November 26, 2020 – Thanksgiving Day
    (NOT a holy day of obligation)
    Mass at 10 AM
  • Tuesday, December 8, 2020 – Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
    Mass at 8:30 AM & 7 PM
  • Thursday, December 24, 2020 – Eve of the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord
    Christmas Eve – 4 PM and 7:30 PM (caroling prior to both Masses)
  • Friday, December 25, 2020 – Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord
    Christmas Day – 8:30 AM and 11 AM
  • Sunday, December 27, 2020 – Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
    Mass – Saturday at 5 PM; Sunday at 8 AM and 11 AM 
  • Friday, January 1, 2021 – Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God
    Mass at 10 AM

NOTE:
In the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord is permanently
transferred to the 7th Sunday of Easter.
In 2020 that is Sunday, May 24, 2020.
