Each candidate for RCIA needs a sponsor from the faith community to complete their journey to become Catholic, much like a child who needs a godparent to be baptized.
A sponsor is a person who accompanies individuals who are seeking to be fully initiated in the Catholic faith. We are in immediate need of 6-8 sponsors from the Old St. Mary’s community.
Please give the gift of your presence to an RCIA candidate. Don’t wait for someone else to sign up; we need YOU.

We need adults and middle and high school-age youth to assist with RCIA. It is a great ministry for those needing service hours or simply want to encourage others on their faith journey. Contact Maryellen for more info.
