Driving to Old St. Mary’s
The church is conveniently located near I-55, I-90 and I-94. Enter the parish address into your preferred navigation app. Two parish parking lots, street parking and nearby garages are available.
Parking
Old St. Mary’s has two parish parking lots:
- One lot is located between the church and Old St. Mary’s School.
- The second lot is accessible from Wabash Avenue.
Street parking and garage options are also available nearby. Please observe posted restrictions and lot signage.
Plan ahead for South Loop events
Large events at Soldier Field, McCormick Place and downtown Chicago can bring heavier traffic, street closures and increased parking demand near Old St. Mary’s. On the dates below, please allow additional travel time to Mass and consider public transportation.

Especially important: The Chicago Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 11 is expected to affect travel throughout downtown and the South Loop from early morning through late afternoon. Please allow significant extra time for all Sunday Masses.
Public Transportation
By Bus
CTA #3 King Drive and #4 Cottage Grove buses serve the parish directly on Michigan Avenue. Nearby routes also include #1, #12 and #29.
By Train
The Roosevelt station—served by the Red, Orange and Green Lines—is approximately a 10-minute walk: three blocks north and two blocks west.
