Spirituality of Fatherhood

Catholic Theological Union Doctoral Candidate Willie Cobb, Jr. is seeking focus group participants for his thesis about the Spirituality of Fatherhood. He is specifically exploring the experiences of African American fathers, Gay fathers, and the fathers of biracial children within the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Each participant will be asked to take part in one 3-hour focus group at a time and location mutually agreed  upon by each small group. Any father who identifies with one of  these three focus groups is asked to please contact Willie Cobb, Jr. at [email protected] or 773-558-1495 by January 31, 2019.

The father’s views will be used to develop a faith formation program specific to the needs of fathers within the Archdiocese of Chicago. More background information and the questions to be discussed will be sent to those confirming attendance before the scheduled meeting. All group discussions and comments will be kept strictly confidential during the process and will be destroyed immediately upon completion of the thesis-project.

Willie Cobb currently serves as a Hospital Chaplain at Community First Medical Center and is a D. Min Candidate at the Catholic Theological Union here in Chicago.
