Immigration and Refugee Rights Education Series

Old St. Patrick’s Church is launching an Immigrant and Refugee Rights education series, “Separating Fact from Fiction.” The first session will be held on Thursday, April 11 from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Old St. Patrick’s 625 W. Adams building.

The topic of the first presentation is “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor: A History of Immigration in the United States.” Our speaker will Dr. Eileen McMahon, Chair of the History Department at Lewis University.

Old St. Patrick’s is delighted to welcome the community of Old St. Mary’s to this event.

The second session of “Separating Fact from Fiction” is scheduled for Thursday, June 6 and is titled “The Human Faces of Migration: Stories of Immigrants and Refugees in the United States.”
