NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT BEGINS MAY 19
Pray in union with the broader Paulist family using the Novena to the Holy
Spirit: Toward a More Perfect Union. Traditionally, a Holy Spirit novena is
prayed for the nine days between Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday,
which this year begins on Friday, May 19 and ends on Saturday, May 27. The
intention of this novena is for us to pray that the Holy Spirit unites us in faith,
hope, and love and moves us to delight in diversity as a gift from God. The
readings and prayers were chosen to help us discern how we might heal the
wounds caused by polarization in society and work toward fashioning a “more
perfect union.”
