Volunteers Needed for 2025-2026 Faith Formation Year!
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
We are looking for volunteers to support our Children’s Liturgy Word, which resumes at the 11am Mass on September 7. The time commitment is about one Sunday a month, and scheduling is very flexible. Volunteers lead children ages 3-8 out of the church at the beginning of Mass, talk about one of the readings with them, and then return to the church after the homily. We particularly need volunteers who are comfortable being the lead “teacher” in the room – no experience necessary! We provide you with a lesson plan, a child-friendly translation of the weekly readings, a page with background information about those readings for you to read, and relevant questions to ask the children.
Middle School Sunday Faith Formation
We need a few more volunteer catechists and/or chaperones to support our Confirmation class for grades 6-7 and emerging youth program for grades 8-9. There programs meet weekly on Sundays. The 2-catechist team in each classroom is provided with a suggested lesson plan and activities for each Sunday’s topic, but you have the freedom to take a different approach if you would like. The most important part of this role is being a role model for our youth and sharing your love of God.
Sunday Faith Formation
We are looking for a handful of adult volunteers to help with sign-in and sign-out for our Sunday Faith Formation – if you want to support the program but don’t feel able to lead a class, this is a great way to volunteer!
